'Random act of kindness' note to next passenger on train to Dublin station will warm your heart

Sometimes it's the little gestures that can help your day move along that small bit better.

One train user found a 'random act of kindness' in the form of a note while heading on a journey to Connolly Station.

The note was written with a pen and paper and was left lying idle for the next person who sat in that seat.

The note reads: "Hello next person on the train who is going to sit here.

"I hope you had a good day today so far and a lovely tomorrow too, mwah."

The picture was shared by Paul Flynn on Twitter and has since been shared widely on social media.

One person said: "Much better than the gift I got from the passenger before me, who left (used a fresh) chewing gum under the seat for me to bring it home on my jeans. There still hope for humanity."

Another added: "This is a very sweet. What a nice touch by a lovely human being."

This comes one day after an adventurous dog named Hamish took the train from Kildare to Dublin on his own.

Irish Rail have issued an appeal for the owner of an adventurous dog who boarded 08:46 Sallins to Heuston train to come forward.

The audacious black and brown canine made the paw-sitively ambitious two-hour trek this morning, and is now being looked after by the staff at the station
