Randers FC 'sending beer' to Larne after beating Danish rivals

Larne are in dreamland after booking their place in the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.

And it looks as if they have gained a few more fans because of their giant-killing efforts.

The Irish League underdogs drew 1-1 with Danish side AGF Aarhus on Thursday night.

The draw at Ceres Park saw Tiernan Lynch's men earn an incredible 3-2 aggregate win over the highly fancied Danes.

Social media went into overdrive with football fans offering their praise for the stellar success.

And one of Aarhus' main rivals in the Danish Superliga were also pleased with the result.

Randers, who currently sit top of the Superliga after just two games, indulged in a bit of Irish League behaviour when their official Twitter account tweeted to Larne: "Well done, @larnefc. There's a beer crate on your way. Sincerely, AGF’s rivals."

In reply, Larne said: "Happy to help."

The Irish League outfit will now take on Portuguese side Paços de Ferreira in the next round of the competition.
