Ranchi: City schools start Class XI admissions

RANCHI: The admission process for Class XI for schools located here has begun with the issue of application and registration forms. These forms are priced in the range of Rs 500 to Rs 2,500. Some schools will conduct entrance tests while others will offer direct admission depending on their policies.

Several schools have made some of the admission rules flexible, considering the impact of the Covid-19 on academics.

Neeta Pandey, the principal of the Cambrian Public School, said, “We have changed our admission policy as we don’t want to exert undue pressure on the students. We are not conducting any entrance test and the aspirants will get admission based on the cut-offs decided by the school.”

Niraj Kumar Sinha, the principal of Firayalal Public School, said, “We are offering provisional admission based onthe marks that the students secured in the Term I examination of Class X. Students will be offered scholarships, if eligible, based on the result of the Term II exam. If they fail Term II, they have to retake the test conducted by us to continue their studies here.”

Lalan Singh, the principal of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, said, “We are charging fees for only three months now. The admission will be confirmed after the results are declared.”
