Rams WR Brandin Cooks says he will play again this season

There’s a lot of concern surrounding Brandin Cooks after he suffered his second concussion of the season in Week 8. He remains in the concussion protocol and was ruled out for Sunday’s game as he meets with specialists for the second time in Pittsburgh.

It’s unknown exactly when he’ll be back on the field, but he shared a post on Instagram declaring that he’ll return this season. In the caption, he wrote, “Can’t wait to get back on the field this year.”

When a player suffers two concussions in a season and four in less than two years, it’s hard not to think about his future after football. Fans have wondered whether Cooks should play in the NFL again, but it’s clear he’s not walking away from the game just yet.

This season, Cooks has caught 27 passes for 402 yards and one touchdown. Josh Reynolds will replace him in the starting lineup.
