Rams haven’t had discussions about bringing back Odell Beckham Jr.

The Los Angeles Rams are stocked with talent at wide receiver, led by Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson as their three starters. They also have Tutu Atwell, who’s playing well and brings a different skill set to the table than the top three wideouts on the team.

But anytime Odell Beckham Jr.’s name hits the market, there are questions about whether the Rams might consider bringing him in like they did in 2021 when they won a Super Bowl. Beckham and the Dolphins mutually agreed to part ways last week and on Monday, he officially cleared waivers, making him a free agent.

Sean McVay was asked if the Rams would consider signing him, but he says that’s not something they’ve talked about yet.

“That’s not something that we’ve talked about yet,” McVay said. “You know the respect that I have for him, but that hasn’t been something that we’ve discussed.”

Beckham hasn’t been very productive or impactful since tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl. He sat out the 2022 season as a free agent while rehabbing his knee before signing with the Ravens in 2023. In Baltimore, he caught 35 passes for 565 yards with three touchdowns.

This season with the Dolphins, he had just nine receptions for 55 yards in nine games before getting waived.

He’s a talented receiver but his knee injury clearly hurt his athleticism and explosiveness. There may not be a clear role in Los Angeles right now but we can never rule out the Rams bringing him back.
