Former Celtic defender Ramon Vega admits his Parkhead stint was almost over before it started when he walloped Henrik Larsson in training.
The Swiss centre-back joined Martin O'Neill's side on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in December 2000 and impressed in his short but sweet stay in Glasgow's east end.
But he was unaware of a the 'do-not-touch' guidelines regarding star striker Larsson in training.
The Swede had only returned from a horrific leg break months earlier so O'Neill's key lieutenants John Robertson and Steve Walford were understandably cautious.
Yet nobody explained the ground rules to Vega - who then spent a fortnight marking him in training before someone at Celtic let him in on the golden rule.
Speaking to Open Goal, he said: "Yes, pretty much.
"It was always on me (dealing with Larsson) because he was playing against me most of the time.
"The first two weeks I didn't know these rules.
"So I'm a centre half, I don't really care, I'll go for it and (whack), that's it. Oh, the look I got from John Robertson and Steve Walford.
"I went in proper, he was nearly flying away, Henrik was a light boy.
"After that, that's it, I knew I couldn't touch Mr King."
