Ralph Hasenhuttl issues Danny Ings transfer update as Tottenham told how to sign Fiorentina ace

Here are your Tottenham morning headlines on Monday, July 19.

Tottenham battling for 24-year-old Serie A star

According to Marca, via To the Lane and Back, Spurs and Liverpool are battling for the signing of Inter Milan and Italy midfielder, Nicolo Barella.

However, Barella could command a transfer fee upwards of £55million which could prove to be a stumbling block in any potential negotiations.

Inter Milan are also not intending to sell Barella having already lost one of their star players, Achraf Hakimi, to PSG. However, as the Nerazzurri are struggling for funds, Spurs could be tempted to make an offer.

Ralph Hasenhuttl delivers honest update on Danny Ings’ future

The Southampton boss has admitted that Danny Ings' contract situation is "not perfect" for the player or Southampton.

Although he is determined to keep Ings down on the south coast for the time being despite the fact he has just one-year left on his contract, Hasenhuttl knows it will be difficult to persuade him to stay.

"We need this player, we want him to play for us," the Saints boss explained to BBC Radio Solent. "But I think it's never helpful to go into the last season with one year left - this is what I think he should know.

Spurs told how much Dusan Vlahovic transfer will cost

Tottenham are keen on signing the 21-year-old Fiorentina striker but have been told he will cost around 60million euros (£51.4million).

It was previously suggested that Spurs were at the front of the queue for the young ace but the striker was also attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, including the likes of Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Juventus.

Now it is claimed that the striker has no intention of renewing his contract with the club amid serious interest from Spurs.

That is according to Gazetta dello Sport’s Carlo Laudisa who believes that Fiorentina will accept an offer of around €60million (£51.4million) for his signature, which could be a figure worth paying if Harry Kane departs for pastures new.
