Rallying call for people in Leeds to abseil down one of city's tallest buildings

A charity in Leeds is giving people a chance to abseil one of the tallest buildings in the north of England.

St Gemma’s Hospice will be holding the event on March 19 and it will cost £35 to take part in the challenge.

Those who are taking part will go down the Campus Living Village (CLV) building in Jacob Street near the city centre which is one of the tallest building in the city.

The hospice states the building is 300ft tall and participants will also be asked to raise at least £200 that will go towards patients care

They currently have only eight spaces left according to the post shared on Facebook.

Anyone over the age of 16 can take part in the Abseil but all participants must complete a Medical Consent Form prior to taking part and parental consent is required for under 18s.

No experience is needed to take part and qualified instructors from Carnegie Great Outdoors will be there on the day.
