Raiders GM Mike Mayock says Antonio Brown wasn’t worth a second-round pick

According to Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown, calling him out in public and disparaging him to the world is the ultimate form of disrespect. He took one comment from Ben Roethlisberger last season, let it fester and ultimately blew up his career with the Steelers and forced a trade through a serious of ridiculous decisions.

So I wonder how Brown feels when his new boss, Raiders general manager Mike Mayock, says publicly he wouldn’t give up a second-round pick for Brown? In Brown’s world, he’s the answer to every problem and he remains the best wide receiver in the NFL. Meanwhile, he watched Odell Beckham Jr. be traded for much more compensation, and then Mayock took a shot at his trade value.

This may not manifest itself now, but if the Raiders struggle and Brown isn’t getting what he wants, don’t be shocked if this issue surfaces again at some point in the season. Brown is going to do all he can to manipulate every situation he is in and Mayock might have given him fuel for his next Mr. Big Chest tantrum.
