Raheem Sterling in London ahead of Chelsea medical after £45m Man City transfer agreed

Raheem Sterling has been spotted in London ahead of his medical with Chelsea. The Blues and Manchester City agreed a £45million (plus £10m in add-ons) fee for the 27-year-old, who is set to become Todd Boehly's first marquee signing at the club.

Sterling is set to become a Chelsea player in the coming days but needs to complete a medical to officially sign from Man City. The England international is expected to undergo his medical in London and then fly out to the United States to join up with his new Chelsea team-mates.

Now, Sterling has been spotted in the capital on Instagram, with his barber – @hd_cutz_london – showing off his new haircut. With Sterling's hair now on point, he should theoretically be ready to complete his big-money move to Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping the addition of Sterling will help improve his under-performing front line. Last season, the likes of Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner all disappointed in the attacking third.

Former Blues defender William Gallas thinks Sterling is making the right move and it will be positive for both parties. Gallas told football.london in an interview conducted by Genting Casino: "So, for him to move for Chelsea, it will be great. It will be great as well for Chelsea because we know the quality of Sterling.

"Very difficult to defend against him. He is the type of striker or winger who likes to have the ball in behind defenders. And as a former defender, we don't like it [these passes in behind] because Sterling is really quick. So, I think it can be a good signing if he can help Chelsea, and at the same time, I think in that position, Chelsea didn't have really that player who make the difference last season."
