Para-alpine skier Rae Anderson has placed seventh in the slalom standing category in Beijing, as fellow Australian Melissa Perrine finished her Paralympic career on an emotional note.

Anderson — who is the seventh Australian to compete at both the Winter and Summer Paralympics — produced a superb second run at the Yanqing National Alpine Centre.

Sweden's Ebba Aarsjoe won gold.

"To perform on my second run after what was a really hard first run, I'm just stoked," Anderson said.

Anderson finished 10th in the giant slalom on Friday.

She competed in the track and field program at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio.

Shedding tears after her race, Perrine did not enjoy the Paralympic farewell she was chasing after she struck a gate to record a DNF in the vision-impaired slalom.

"I pushed out of that start gate up there with every intention of giving it everything I had and I did," said Perrine, who competed with sighted guide Bobbi Kelly.

"And, that right there, that's ski racing. A couple of inches can be the difference between the best run of your life and straddling a gate, especially in slalom."

Perrine was sixth in Friday's vision-impaired giant slalom.

She claimed bronze in the slalom and super-combined events at the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympics.

Austrian sisters Veronika and Barbara Aigner won the respective gold and silver medals in the vision-impaired slalom on Saturday, with Slovakian Alexandra Rexova claiming bronze.

Veronika Aigner — guided by older sister Elisabeth — also won gold in the giant slalom, with younger sibling Barbara taking bronze.
