Race-hate killers banned from dad's funeral at Glasgow Central Mosque over safety fears

Race-hate killers Imran Shahid and Zeeshan Shahid were banned from their father's funeral at a Glasgow mosque over safety fears.

The siblings were jailed over the murder of Kriss Donald in 2004.

The 15-year-old was stabbed and burned to death after being abducted by a gang in Pollokshields.

Imran was jailed for 25 years and his brother Zeeshan for 23 years for the racially-aggravated abduction and murder of innocent Kriss.

The brothers were given permission to leave the prison for the funeral but had to be taken back before the burial, reports The Scottish Sun.

Officers made the decision to return them to their separate prisons after arriving at Glasgow Central Mosque on Tuesday over safety concerns.

It's believed that there were concerns over a crowd at the mosque.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "After discussions with a partner agency, the decision was taken not to allow two prisoners to attend a funeral at Glasgow Central Mosque on Tuesday in the interests of safety."

The Scottish Prison Service said: “We do not comment on individuals.”
