Quirky 'hidden gem' home with leopard print walls and snake wallpaper

A massive Merseyside home quirkily decorated with leopard print upholstery and snake wallpaper has gone on the market.

The six-bedroom, six-bathroom house is located on Poplar Avenue in Crosby, which is "arguably the best road in L23" according to the listing.

The unassuming house looks normal from the outside but the current owners have not been shy about putting their own stamp on the place.

Guests are welcomed via a large cobbled driveway into a hallway which boasts its own mezzanine, with panelled walls and decorative ceilings.

The lounge features leopard print walls and rugs, with zebra cushions, opulent lighting and modern side tables.

The massive open plan kitchen, diner and living space provides a colourful heart of the home. The pink kitchen is offset by white leather sofas, decorative ceiling panels, bare brick walls and statement furniture.

Elsewhere on the ground floor is one of the six bedrooms with an en-suite, an office, WC, a study and an integrated garage.

Each one of the rooms in this house is a talking point, with bathrooms featuring tin tubs, red and pink snake wallpaper or ornate pink mirrors.

To the rear is large garden housing a whole separate residence; a coach house with its own kitchen, living room, downstairs toilet and three en-suite bedrooms. It also boasts its own terrace with a hot tub.

The coach house hasn't escaped the attention and creativity paid to the main house either, with more leopard upholstery and a bright teal kitchen to enjoy.

The house is on the market with Lyons Estates for £1.65m. The listing added: "This property is truly a hidden gem. The bespoke design, opulence and standard of accommodation need to be witness in person to be appreciated."

It has rocketed in value after it was last sold in 2019 for just £700,000. The average selling price of homes in Crosby were £250,087 over the last year.
