Washington Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar has been the subject of much speculation this offseason.
Quinton Dunbar reportedly asked for a trade after minimal contact with the new Ron Rivera regime, as he’d like a new contract.
But in the messaging above, Dunbar shows some love for Josh Norman — who just signed with the Buffalo Bills — and also throws out that he’s not worried about a deal because he has just one season left under contract.
Talk about interesting.
If Dunbar is indeed shrugging off the contract situation it would seem to imply he’ll show up to camp and bet on himself over the course of the season.
Dunbar showing up would be good news for a secondary in flux. If he plays well, the Redskins might end up losing him if he goes elsewhere, but that’s getting ahead of things.
For now, Dunbar seems to be at least publicly shrugging off the contract situation.
