Suzi Quatro is ready to rock Lake Macquarie in November.
She's headlining the Red Hot Summer Tour at Speers Point Park on November 28 alongside fellow rockers Jon Stevens, Baby Animals, Rose Tattoo, Dragon and Choirboys.
The singer, bassist, actress, author, and radio host was born in Detroit in 1950 and began her career early in her family's band, The Art Quatro Trio. At age 14 she joined her sister Patti in The Pleasure Seekers.
With her distinctive blend of leather, bass and unbridled energy, Quatro became one of the first women not just to participate in rock music, but to shape it.
In 1973, she scored a worldwide No.1 hit with Can the Can. This was followed by other classics such as 48 Crash, Devil Gate Drive, and Stumblin' In.
To date, she has sold more than 55 million records, and in 2019 was the star of a documentary about her life, Suzi Q.
Quatro's new studio album, Freedom, was produced by her son, guitarist Richard Tuckey, and released in March.
