Queen Elizabeth gets on better with Meghan Markle than Kate Middleton says royal expert

A royal expert has claimed the Queen is friendlier with the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle than Kate Middleton.

Majesty Magazine’s editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward told The Sun that Queen Elizabeth “doesn't have an intimate relationship” with Kate Middleton. She added that the “Queen admires Kate tremendously but does not have an intimate relationship with her as they don’t have much in common.”

"I think the Queen and Kate have a more serious relationship as obviously Kate holds all the Queen’s hope for the future and she would not want to do anything to upset that," Seward explained.

“The common bond with Kate would be her children and I can’t imagine the Queen spending too much time talking about them; she is a very shy woman, which is why a common subject like horses is so helpful,” she added.

Seward believes that Queen Elizabeth is closer to Meghan Markle because “they have a love of dogs in common and Meghan knows how to make her laugh.” On their first public outing together to Cheshire, Meghan and the Queen appeared to share several laughs (though Queen Elizabeth could just be a really big Suits fan.)

Seward also said that Queen Elizabeth “has an acerbic wit and of course, is an excellent mimic so she can be very entertaining – but she never forgets she is Queen even with her grandchildren."

According to Seward, Queen Elizabeth gets along with Prince Harry because of his similar “quick wit.”

Another apparent favorite is her first grandchild Zara Tindall’s husband Mike Tindall, who is apparently one of the royals the Queen spends the most time with because she prefers "ordinary people like Mike more than she does those that pander to her".

“I suspect she sees more of the Tindall girls than the Cambridge’s trio as the Tindalls don’t do royal duties" she said. “They are more readily available to see their great grandmother at things like the Windsor Horse Show.
