Amazon.com late Tuesday disclosed a $36.7 million stake in quantum computing stock IonQ. IonQ stock rose overnight.
The Dow Jones tech titan disclosed in a 13F SEC filing that it now owns 854,207 shares of the quantum computing company.
IonQ stock rose 3.1% early Wednesday to 43.32 on the Amazon news. Shares climbed 5.4% to 42.02 on Tuesday, just reclaiming a 50-day moving average. IonQ stock has a 48.94 consolidation buy point. The overnight action could signal an early entry.
However, IonQ will report second-quarter results late Wednesday, kicking off earnings for quantum computing plays.
