A mum was horrified after her great dane puppy managed to shred her entire sofa - despite only turning her back on the naughty pup for 'five minutes'.
Nicola Ribchester left 16-month-old Bentley to his own devices for just a matter of minutes while she nipped upstairs at her home in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
However, the 53-year-old student nurse was stunned to come downstairs to discover the wreckage of her sofa with foam and cushions scattered around the living room.
The 10-stone pup had been so quiet that Nicola had assumed he was sleeping but she found Bentley in the living room standing proudly on top of the mess he'd created just a few minutes later.

Nicola said: "My husband normally watches him because he's set up in the lounge for work but he'd left for a business meeting. He was on his own for five minutes.
"I thought he'd gone to sleep. I heard my son Lloyd, 28, come in and I went down and Bentley was standing there.
"He had his teddy bear thrown on the floor, there was foam from the sofa everywhere, the cushions were on the floor turned up, there was a big hole in the sofa where he had been chewing and he was stood on all fours looking very proud of himself.
"He was standing on the part of the settee that wasn't broken and he looked at me proudly as if to say 'look what I've done mum'.
"I couldn't believe how much damage he'd caused in such a short space of time. I was in shock."
Nicola's computer tech husband, Peter, 53, is normally at home to keep an eye on the pup but had to leave for a business meeting but since she thought Bentley was sleeping, mistakenly thought she had time to nip upstairs.

Nicola said: "He was being so quiet that I thought he'd gone to sleep. I was just in shock when I saw it.
"I told Bentley 'no' and put him in his crate for five minutes while I tidied up. He sat there doing the guilty face with his sad eyes. It's hard to be angry at him when he has such big, droopy, sad eyes."
The couple had inherited the sofa four years ago from Peter's parents and said it was 'really good quality' until Bentley got his paws on it.
Nicola said: "We were going to get a new sofa but left it while he's a puppy. It's a good job we didn't get a new one or I wouldn't be laughing.
"We inherited it from the in laws, they'd had it for around ten years and it's really good quality. We're going to get a second hand one for now until he's a bit older."
Nicola said that although a few toys have been torn apart, this is the first time Bentley has been so destructive since the family brought him home in December.
Nicola said: "I've only had small dogs before so he's our first great dane but we've always wanted one because they're known for having the nicest temperaments.
"Bentley is so gentle and soft. If he has a bone in his mouth, he passes it so gently. He's extremely docile and dopey and he's scared of anything. If I drop a pan he will stay hidden.
"He's been pretty good and hasn't destroyed anything until now. His beds haven't been destroyed but a few flimsy toys have. One has been beheaded."
