A surge of money has seen Jonathan Courtenay emerge as one of the lead contenders to become the new chief of the FAI.
Courtenay is the managing director of Toplion Sportswear and JACC Sports who are the Irish team's official kit sponsors.
And bookmakers have slashed his odds from 12/1 to 4/1 to replace John Delaney as the FAI's new CEO.
Former Cork City Goalkeeper Noel Mooney is the current odds-on favourite to land the job while interim CEO Rea Walshe is third in the betting.

FIFA write to the FAI looking for answers over crisis
It became vacant after Delaney stepped down after 14 years in the role this month amidst revelations he gave his employers a €100,000 bridging loan.
Delaney was moved to a new position of Executive Vice President in the FAI before offering to step aside from his new role pending an independent investigation of the organisation's finances.
BoyleSports' Leon Blanche said: “BoyleSports have seen some activity in the Next Permanent FAI CEO market on Thursday with money coming for Jonathan Courtenay.
"We have been forced to reduce his odds from 12/1 into 4/1 following significant support for him to take over from John Delaney. Noel Mooney remains the strong favourite at 1/5."
