Fresh off the arrival of Another Simple Favour on streaming, viewers are reacting to a particular scene that sees Blake Lively having sex with… well, Blake Lively.
The doppelganger (or in this case, doppel-banger) moment occurs pretty early on in film, which serves as a sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favour and co-stars Lively and Anna Kendrick.
Those who are across the first movie will know that Lively’s character Emily is a triplet, and while we initially thought one of her sisters, Charity, had died, the sequel reveals she’s very much still alive, and she shows up at Emily’s hotel room for a long-awaited, incest-friendly reunion.
It’s then that Charity (also played by Lively) proceeds to inject Emily with a drug and gesture towards her South Pole, if you catch my drift.

Later, Charity kisses Emily to seal the twin-cest deal, and Lively’s shocked face as the scene ends perfectly encapsulates fans’ own surprise after watching the Lively-squared moment.
“I decided to watch Another Simple Favour and why is Blake Lively’s character’s twin making sexual advances to her HEEELPP”, one fan wrote on X, with another sharing the regrettable news that they “watched it with my twin sister and mother”.

Others declared that the sequel “is the strangest incest-filled movie I have ever watched” and said Lively “will be dealt with”, or expressed (rightful) concern about a scene involving sexual assault, drugging and incest in one fell swoop.
While shocking, fans may have seen this incest subplot coming, because in the first film, it’s revealed that Kendrick’s character Stephanie slept with her brother.
I guess incest is a widespread phenomenon in the Favour-verse, but it’s surprisingly not the first time some sibling-on-sibling action has made waves on screen this year.

If you recall, The White Lotus fans were sent into a tizzy when Lochie (Sam Nivola) got a little, shall we say… handsy with his brother Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) midway through season three, which somehow seems tame in comparison to Lively’s more recent dabble into incest.
In any case, the actress is probably relieved that headlines are focusing on anything other than her lawsuit with Justin Baldoni, since that case simply refuses to quit.
At this rate, I half-expect Lively’s non-existent twin sister to somehow be roped into all that legal mess.
