CHANDIGARH: Punjab Civil Medical Services (PCMS) lauded Indian hockey team captain Manpreet Singh for recognising the efforts of Covid warriors by dedicating the bronze medal to them.
Manpreet Singh had dedicated the historic win to the country's doctors and healthcare workers, who have worked tirelessly to save lives during the pandemic.
Dr Gagandeep Singh, president of the association - the largest body of government doctors in Punjab, welcomed the gesture made by the national hockey team captain.
Dr Indervir Gill, organizing Secretary of PCMSA, while showering praise on the Olympic hockey bronze medalists said that while the doctors and paramedics were fighting the battle against pandemic tirelessly for one and a half year, the Olympic bronze has rejuvenated their spirits.
Dr Gagandeep Shergill, senior vice-president PCMSA, said like the hockey players have ended the wait for a medal after 41 years despite so many obstacles, the corona warriors will overcome this pandemic soon. He congratulated and wished the Olympic medalists more glory in the future.
