Pune is set to witness another wet day on Thursday, July 9, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an Orange Alert for the district, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places. Neighbouring Satara is also under an Orange Alert as monsoon showers continue across parts of western Maharashtra.
While rain is expected to continue on Thursday, meteorologists have said the intensity of the current spell is likely to reduce gradually over the coming days as the weather system influencing Maharashtra weakens.
Many parents and students are also wondering whether schools will remain open. As of now, no holiday has been announced for schools, colleges or offices in Pune.
