PUNE: The Hadapsar police have arrested two youths and detained a 16-year-old boy on the charge of assaulting a bar owner and his employee in Hadapsar on June 4.
The police identified the arrested as Sagar Atole (20) and Tanmay Bedge (21) from Hadapsar. Bar owner Dinesh Nalla (40) told TOI, “I was at the billing counter when the duo walked in and one of them purchased liquor. One youth then requested me to replace the bottle as it was expensive. His accomplice tried to enter the billing counter when the bar boy stopped him.”
Nalla said, “One of them in a fit of anger assaulted bar boy Laxman Zinzurde (27) on his head. When I tried to intervene, the assailant assaulted me too with a weapon on my back. Somehow, I managed to hold him and snatch the weapon. The duo then took to their heels. The third was waiting for them on a bike outside.”
