Pundit's call on Cody Drameh's Leeds United future after Luton Town signing

Carlton Palmer says Luton Town have a 'talented' player on their hands after signing Leeds United right-back Cody Drameh on loan until the end of the season. Drameh had played just 70 minutes in the Premier League for the Whites since returning from a successful loan spell at Cardiff City during the second half of the previous season.

Despite only spending four months in the Welsh capital, Drameh was presented with the Bluebirds' Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a loan move away from Elland Road for a number of months, after failing to move above both Luke Ayling and summer signing Rasmus Kristensen in the pecking order.

Luton have moved quickly to fill the void left by James Bree following his departure to Premier League outfit Southampton, and former Leeds midfielder Palmer believes Drameh is a strong replacement.

“I think it is. He’s a talented player. He did really well on loan at Cardiff," Palmer told FLW. “Obviously, I think Luton knew this was perhaps on the cards, you know with Nathan and James Bree situation. So, they’ve moved swiftly.

“Cody is still under contract for another 18 months at Leeds United, so they’re not going to be making a decision on his long-term future.”
