PSG star Kylian Mbappe a doubt for Champions League semi-final second leg vs Man City

Kylian Mbappe has suffered an injury and is now a doubt for next week's match against Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain have announced.

Despite picking up a knock in PSG's victory at Metz last weekend, Mbappe still played the full 90 minutes of the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between the two sides on Wednesday.

The French superstar was kept largely quiet, however, on a night in which City pulled off a remarkable comeback to win 2-1, with Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez cancelling out Marquinhos' headed opener.

The Parisians lost the important midfielder Idrissa Gueye to a red card in the match so will be without him in Tuesday's second leg in Manchester and they now appear to have suffered another blow.

In a medical update ahead of the crucial Ligue 1 match against Lens at the weekend, PSG have announced that Mbappe has suffered an injury to his right calf.

The forward isn't expected to play at the weekend, with his club embroiled in a close title race, in an attempt to get him fit in time to face City at the Etihad.

PSG will also continue to be without Juan Bernat and reserve goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier.
