As someone who hasn’t set foot in the PEDESTRIAN.TV office in years (I work remotely), I don’t really own a lot of ~office~ outfits. My daily go-tos are pretty much activewear, lounge sets and tracksuits. So it comes as no surprise that when winter rolls around, I’m always on the lookout for some fresh, cosy trackies. This year, Influencer Sopha Dopha‘s All For Mimi‘s ‘Track’ sets are on my radar.
Recently, the beloved Aussie brand dropped its annual Track collection, and it honestly looks like its cosiest one yet. The collection consists of the same shape, silhouette, and fabric that made All For Mimi a cult favourite.
Only this year, the cult-favourite sets are in three different colourways: dusty pink, baby blue and marle grey. (The perfect marle grey, might I add.)
The collection is broken down into three interchangeable mix-and-match pieces — a hoodie, a zip hoodie and straight-leg trackpants — letting people build full monochromatic sets or swap colours.
Now, I remember the hype the original trackies gained when they dropped (they were constantly sold out), so this year, I had to get my hands on a set.
Allow me to put you on.
First impressions
Instantly, when I unboxed the trackies, I knew they were going to be that girl. I opted for the marle grey because I fucking love a good grey set of trackies. The fabric is that perfect mix of soft but stiff, and the inside is that warm fleece-like lining.
The fabric and fit
True to what made the brand famous, they didn’t skimp on the heavyweight texture. Everything in this drop is cut from their staple 53 per cent cotton and 47 per cent polyester blend, featuring a thick, ultra-soft fleecy interior designed to hold that structural, oversized streetwear silhouette without sagging.
Sophia explicitly kept her signature oversized grading for this year. For context on the ‘fit, lookbook model (who is 5’11”) wears a size small, while Sophia herself typically models a medium for that extra baggy look.
Personally, I chose to go with a size small pair of pants and a medium hoodie because I need my hoodie to feel like it belonged to an ex-boyfriend (despite being happily shacked up to my current boyfriend, IYKYK).
The current size range for the track collection spans from XS to 3XL.
The price tag
Now, the trackies start at $89 for the pants, $99 for the hoodie and $109 for the zip hoodie, which is a little on the pricier side. However, now that I’ve cocooned my body in the set, I can understand why. The quality is there. I feel like if I take care of her, she’s going to last me at least a couple of winters.
The Verdict
Overall, this is definitely one of the most well-designed tracksuits I’ve ever worn. The All For Mimi team has taken on board everyone’s favourite parts about trackies over the years and designed a near-perfect set. I say near perfect because my only critique — and it’s not even a critique, it’s more of a request — is that they offer different leg lengths next year because as a 5ft girlie, I’ve had to roll the pant leg up until my mum comes to visit and hems them.
You can check out the full range here (before it sells out!).
