Prosecutors will interview ex-news anchor's son over claims Kevin Spacey groped his genitals

The son of a former Boston news anchor, who claims Kevin Spacey groped his genitals when he was 18, will discuss the allegations with prosecutors.

Heather Unruh said in a press conference last week that her son suffered "tremendous anger and anxiety" after Spacey, 58, reportedly grabbed his genitals at a club on Nantucket Island in the summer of 2016 when he was 18.

District Attorney Michael O'Keefe told the Boston Globe on Saturday that a meeting with Unruh's son will take place soon and that he is interested in "everything that's relevant and material" to the alleged sexual assault.

Unruh claimed that Spacey gave her son alcohol and thrust his hand into his pants, grabbing his genitals at the club. She added that a criminal investigation had begun.

O'Keefe said the investigation would proceed further after they speak with her son about his allegations, according to The Globe.

"I want to see Kevin Spacey go to jail. I want to see Kevin Spacey have the hand of justice come down on him, not just for my son, but for the many others who have yet to speak their truth," Unruh said.

She said on Wednesday that she went to the Nantucket's sheriff to report the crime shortly after the attack, but that her son wasn't emotionally ready to accuse the actor.

After mounting allegations of sexual misconduct against other Hollywood elite, including Harvey Weinstein, Unruh took to Twitter to cryptically accuse Spacey of harming a loved one.

Anthony Rapp, who was the first to publicly accuse Spacey of sexual misconduct, was the reason Unruh's son decided to share his story and became "committed to stopping Kevin Spacey," she said.

"Shame on you for what you did to my son, and shame on you for using your apology to Anthony Rapp to come out as a gay man," Unruah said in the conference Wednesday. "That was an appalling attempt to deflect attention away from what you really are _ a sexual predator. Your actions are criminal," she said.
