Jan. 11--A man who pointed his gun at a 17-year-old boy during a robbery at a party was arrested after police followed his footprints in the snow, according to prosecutors.
Dominique Horton, 21, was at a party in the East Chatham neighborhood around 9:15 p.m. Friday night when someone hit a 17-year-old, prosecutors said Saturday. A "group of unknown co-offenders" then began striking the teen and rummaging through his pockets while he was on the ground, prosecutors said.
The teen's shoe fell off during the struggle, and while he was on the ground, Horton pointed his gun at his face and told him not to move, prosecutors said.
The group robbed the teen and two others, including a 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman, prosecutors said. The loot included a Samsung Galaxy tablet and a Galaxy S5 phone.
All three victims left the apartment and called police, prosecutors said.
Responding officers in the alley heard people jumping fences and entered a backyard, where they followed a "single set of footprints they saw in the snow" to a set of stairs leading to a porch, according to the state's attorney's office.
Horton then gave himself up and was later identified by all three victims.
He was charged with armed robbery with a firearm and ordered held on $150,000 bond.
