A car retail giant has agreed a deal which will see it lease a prime site in Derby.
Vertu Motors, which has more than 130 dealerships across the country, has signed a deal on a two-acre site in Stores Road.
Vertu works with a number of top manufacturers, including Ford, Honda, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Nissan, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar Land Rover.
It is not yet known what the firm’s plans are for its new site in Stores Road, which is already home to some major car dealerships.
The deal for the site was brokered by Nottingham-based commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors.
The firm sealed the deal on behalf of landlord Wellglade, which initially instructed NG to market the site.
Sunny Landa, a director at NG, said: “NG has been steadily increasing its volume of work in Derby and we now have a strong foothold in the city and plan to expand this even further in 2020.
“Stores Road has become a centre for high quality car dealerships and is already home to automotive occupiers such as Bristol Street Motors Citroen.
“Barclays and Mott MacDonald are also nearby. We’re delighted to have completed a deal to bring another big name to the area.”
