Pro-Palestinian Protesters March Peacefully Through Georgetown And GW Campuses

Pro-Palestinian students take part in a protest in support of the Palestinians

Recently, a group of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, before marching to George Washington University in a show of solidarity and support for Palestine.

At Georgetown University, the protesters filled about one-third of the circular driveway in front of Healy Hall, the main administrative building on campus. The crowd remained peaceful as organizers spoke and led chants of 'free Palestine' and 'from the river to the sea.' The group then proceeded to march to George Washington University, led by several professors wearing graduation regalia.

Upon reaching the encampment at George Washington University, dozens of tents filled about one-quarter of the campus' University Yard. Demonstrators chanted slogans such as 'There is only one solution, intifada revolution, intifada intifada, long live the intifada,' while holding signs that read 'Resistance is justified when people are occupied!' 'Stop the invasion!' and 'Ceasefire now!'

Cheers erupted as the marchers from Georgetown arrived on GW's campus, with continued chants for 'intifada revolution.' The Georgetown students were warmly welcomed and escorted into the GW encampment, further uniting the two groups in their cause.
