Pro-Palestine protesters drive van through fence of arms firm factory in Edinburgh

PRO-PALESTINE campaigners have driven a van into the security fence of a defence firm factory in Edinburgh this morning.

Leonardo, an Italian company on Crewe Road, supplies military technology to Israel.

This incudes components for F-35 fighter jets, which have been used to bomb Gaza.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an ongoing disturbance in the Crewe Road North area of Edinburgh on the morning of Tuesday, 15 July, 2025.

"Three women, aged 31, 34 and 42, have been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing."

Last November, for example, campaigners shut down the factory by blockading the entrance.
