Prince Harry 'swerves' Alison Hammond in unearthed throwback clip on red carpet

This Morning aired a throwback clip of the moment Prince Harry swerved Alison Hammond on the red carpet, which the presenter admitted was "embarrassing" to watch back.

After Alison and co-star Dermot O'Leary gave their opinion on Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell interview, Alison opened up about the moment she first met the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The ITV daytime show went on to show a clip of Alison on the red carpet as she tried to get an interview with them.

Alison was heard shouting out: "Harry, come and get warmed up by me! Hi, how you doing? Congratulations!"

Harry ignored her as he spoke to some of the public, but Ruth Langsford urged her on in the studio: "Go on! Don't give up!"

As Alison held out her mic, Harry neared it but visibly swerved and was heard unapologetically muttering: "Alison I'm sorry."

Ruth exclaimed: "Oh, we swerved it! Oh, he swerved her!"

Later on, Alison spotted Meghan in the crowd, prompting her to call out: "Megs! ITV Megs! You may have seen me with Harrison Ford!"

"I'm so happy, it's such a thrill to be here," Meghan was heard saying to a fan saying that she loved the duchess in Suits.

Ruth demanded: "Ask her a question!"

Eventually, as Meghan began to move away, Alison called out: "Congratulations from This Morning!"

Meghan turned to reply: "Thank you so much."
