Prince Harry 'staying at Frogmore Cottage' when he returns to unveil Diana statue

Prince Harry will reportedly stay at Frogmore Cottage with Princess Eugenie when he returns to the UK to unveil a statue in memory of his mum Diana.

The property has been divided in two so Harry can isolate there without bumping into Eugenie or her husband, who now live at the home, it is claimed.

The Duke of Sussex will have to self-isolate for at least five days and test negative for coronavirus before he can attend the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue on July 1.

The official event will take place in the garden at Kensington Palace and will mark what would have been Diana's 60th birthday.

A royal insider told The Sun: "Eugenie and Jack were handed the keys last year and told they could use it while Harry and Meghan were in America.

“The cottage is now literally split into two, meaning Harry can isolate in one half of the house without ever coming into contact with his cousin and her family.

“It has been set up for his return after last-minute plans seemed to work when he was back for the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral in April.”

Prince Harry will stand alongside his brother William for the unveiling of their mother's statue on July 1.

It will be their first face-to-face since the Duke of Sussex criticised his family in the documentary The Me You Can’t See.

He told Oprah Winfrey how he felt 'neglected' during his time as a royal and was 'trapped' within the family.

On a previous podcast, the duke discussed wanting to 'break the cycle' of 'pain and suffering' with his children.

Harry's visit to the UK also comes after a row over whether he asked or told the Queen that he was naming his daughter after her.

The Mirror previously reported how Harry told the Queen of his intentions years before he met wife Meghan.

The Duke of Sussex informed his beloved grandmother of his desire to use her name – or at least part of it – when discussing his future family life, well-placed sources confirmed.

Harry’s decision, along with his wife Meghan to call their newborn daughter Lilibet - who will be known as Lili - after the Queen’s affectionate nickname she was given by her grandfather George V left the monarch “delighted”.

A royal source said: “Harry has always enjoyed a wonderful bond with his grandmother, which makes it all the more bizarre that he has gone out of his way to threaten the relationship over the last couple of years.

“They have been incredibly close and as you would imagine have shared some very deep and personal conversations as Harry was growing up, which carried on really until very recently.

“Harry has never made a secret of his wish to have a family of his own, often talking about how it would be great to have a boy and a girl, that he could name after the two most important women in his life, the Queen and his mother.

“He had toyed with the idea of giving a future daughter his mother’s name, but was wary of the attention it would no doubt bring to the little girl.

“In the end, he mentioned Lilibet to Meghan, when discussing potential names for their children and she loved the idea.

“It’s a fitting tribute to the Queen and something many people will hope brings the family closer together.”
