Primark shares first pictures of major changes inside stores as it starts to reopen

Primark will begin reopening stores in England on Monday, June 15.

Owner Associated British Foods (ABF) has said it is working to reopen all its 153 stores in England and said it is awaiting further guidance regarding stores in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales but anticipates openings in "late June".

Ahead of Primark reopening, the company has released pictures giving shoppers a sneak peek of what to expect.

Primark already confirmed that customers will notice a number of changes in stores.

These include a strict social distancing protocol, personal protection for employees and customers and increased in-store cleaning.

Now, to prepare fans for what's in store, the high-street retailer has shared images from inside its Westfield Stratford store.

Primark CEO, Paul Marchant, explained: "We have really missed our customers and we are delighted to be back on June 15 and able to provide them with the quality, affordable products they love from Primark.

"While it might take a little longer to get into store, once inside, customers will find all their favourite Primark products and plenty of choice as usual.

"We have worked hard to make sure that clear signage and extra help will be there to guide them through the changes we have made to allow for social distancing.

"We are also asking customers to respect the measures we have put in place to help ensure shopping at Primark is an enjoyable, safe experience for everyone."

The pictures show floor markings, Perspex screens, hand sanitiser stations and clear guidelines posted on walls.

Primark has also confirmed products will be sold at normal prices, so shoppers should expect great value prices which means there will be no sales or special offers when doors reopen.
