Primark's revamp has a new Greggs cafe, but shoppers are excited about something else

Primark has unveiled its huge £3m extension which features a Tasty by Greggs Café and an extended home floor today.

The addition to the Church Street store aims to promise shoppers 'more choice and variety' with a new layout, a new vintage section and a larger homeware section. The newly revamped store was revealed this morning, and we managed to get a sneak peak of the new café before the store opened.

Located on the second floor of the store, the Greggs café gives shoppers a chance to sit down with a bite to eat for a break from shopping. It features a spacious seating area with bright and funky décor, as well as an Instagram worthy sausage roll swing seat and a nod to The Beatles iconic 'Yellow Submarine' on the wall.

With Greggs offering an array of tasty treats including sausage rolls, fresh cakes, sandwiches and hot and cold drinks, Primark shoppers seemed to be glad about the new addition. However, there was one question that many shoppers were desperate to find the answer to - does it have a toilet?

Thankfully, the answer is yes, and Greggs staff have confirmed that Primark shoppers can also use the toilets and not just those visiting Greggs. A trip to Primark can often be lengthy, especially now with the extended home floor, and now shoppers can benefit from a toilet in the Greggs café.

In the comments section of our Facebook live, one shopper said: "Do they have toilets?"

A second shopper said: "Have they put a toilet or a fridge with bottles of water in there yet?"

A third shopper said: "We don't need clothes we need the loo [toilet emoji] lol."

A fourth shopper said: "We need toilets if anything."

Thankfully for shoppers, the answer is yes, the new Greggs does have a toilet. You can watch our full Facebook live for an exclusive first look here.

As part of the new addition, Primark’s Home department – one of the store’s most popular, has moved from a small section on the top floor to its own dedicated space on the ground floor. The extension will also make more space for two of its other bestselling departments, kids and women’s, giving shoppers a more 'spacious' experience.
