Primark forced to open early as thousands of shoppers spotted queueing to get inside

This morning, Primark stores across England reopened their doors to shoppers for the first time since January.

With no website, it's the first time shoppers have been able to buy Primark goodies in months, and thousands of people took advantage of it.

In Manchester, people could be seen lining Market Street in the early hours to try and get inside Primark first.

Ciara Sutcliffe, 21, from Middleton, was waiting outside Primark from 6.45am.

“It makes you feel like things are finally getting back to normal", she told us.

Megan Bell, 21, from Middleton, added: “Everyone has been stuck indoors at home for so long, this is a chance to get out. I was expecting bigger queues actually.

"There’s a gingham two-set that’s been going viral on Tik Tok that I’m after.

"Hope they have it!”

Large queues were spotted forming outside Primark in the Trafford Centre - which is still relatively new.

A large queue of hopeful shoppers was also spotted outside The Rock in Bury.

In fact, the queue grew so large, the store manager was forced to open the store an hour early.

The shop was meant to open at 9am, but due to high demand, opened at 8am - much to the delight of shoppers.

Large queues were also spotted in places like Birmingham, Leeds, Essex and Leicester.
