Prespakis offered one-match AFLW ban

Reigning AFLW best-and-fairest Madison Prespakis has been offered a one-match ban for a dangerous tackle on her former Carlton teammate Sarah Hosking.

Prespakis landed in hot water after nailing Hosking in a tackle during the second quarter of the Blues' five-point win over Richmond on Saturday.

Hosking's head hit the turf and while she bounced up immediately to take her free kick, she was forced to undergo a concussion test.

She was given the all-clear and later returned to play out the match.

The match review officer assessed the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

Prespakis can accept a one-match suspension with an early guilty plea, though the Blues will weigh up whether to challenge the ban.

If suspended, Prespakis will miss Saturday's crunch clash with North Melbourne in Hobart as both sides seek to break into the top-six.

The Kangaroos' Daria Bannister is free to play in that match after escaping with a reprimand for engaging in rough conduct against Collingwood's Jordyn Allen last weekend.

Western Bulldogs forward Bonnie Toogood was also reprimanded for a dangerous tackle on Melbourne's Lily Mithen, while Gold Coast's Hannah Dunn was reprimanded for making careless contact with an umpire.
