Premier League restart receives unanimous backing as Everton and Liverpool overcome final hurdle

Liverpool and Everton have approved return to play protocols and matchday operation plans at a Premier League shareholders meeting.

Today's meeting saw clubs vote on how the physical operation of a matchday will work and how players' health and safety can be managed at games and all sides unanimously gave the go-ahead after receiving the plans last week.

Only 37 'Red Zone' passes will be made available per team, with that expected to be made up of 20 players, 12 coaching and medical staff and a further five essential staff.

In total there is expected to be 300 people in attendance for games, including media, doping officials and scouts, with an 'Amber Zone' and 'Green Zone' also in operation.
