Pregnant actress Skai Jackson ARRESTED for domestic battery following altercation with boyfriend; fans react

Skai Jackson, the former Disney Channel star known for her roles in 'Jessie' and 'Bunk'd', has been arrested on charges of domestic battery following an altercation with her boyfriend.

The news of her arrest broke on TMZ, who reported that the incident took place last week at Universal CityWalk. According to law enforcement sources, deputies were called to the popular Los Angeles entertainment complex after security personnel observed Jackson and her boyfriend engaged in a heated argument. Witnesses reported seeing the actress allegedly push her boyfriend multiple times during the dispute.

Security officers at the scene intervened, detaining the couple until law enforcement arrived. Despite both Jackson and her boyfriend denying that the altercation had turned physical, TMZ reports that the actress stated that they were 'happily engaged and expecting a child together', deputies reviewed video footage from the incident. The footage reportedly confirmed that Jackson had pushed her boyfriend.

As a result, Jackson was arrested for misdemeanour domestic battery. She was cited and released a few hours later. The case is now under review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, which will determine whether formal charges will be filed.

Jackson has kept details about her personal life, including her relationship, largely private, and little is known about her boyfriend.

The news of her pregnancy and engagement has come as a surprise to fans who took to Twitter to express their shock at the way the announcement was made. See how netizens reacted in the tweets below:

This report comes just days after rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Paris for allegedly attacking his own bodyguard. Video footage saw the rapper being taken away by police following an altercation with his security guard. He was later released with his representative releasing a statement to the press that read, "Travis Scott has been released with no charges."

Meanwhile, the Paris prosecutor's office confirmed the "release from custody of Travis Scott today as well as the dropping of the case over the offence being insufficiently established".
