Predicting the Steelers 2019 offensive starters

The NFL draft is just a month away and the first wave of free agency is in the books. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been very active in free agency and taken an aggressive stance with getting this team ready to win now.

If Pittsburgh is going to get back to the playoffs in 2019, it will still be on the strength of the offense. Here’s our prediction for the Steelers starting offense in 2019.

Quarterback-Ben Roethlisberger

Running back-James Conner

Fullback-Roosevelt Nix

Wide receivers-JuJu Smith-Schuster, Donte Moncrief, Ryan Switzer

Tight end-Vance McDonald

Offensive line-Alejandro Villanueva, Ramon Foster, Maurkice Pouncey, David DeCastro, Matt Feiler

Fourth wide receiver-James Washington

Second tight end-Xavier Grimble

We look for Moncrief and Washington to share reps as co-starters similar to how JuJu Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant did two seasons ago. We are hopeful Washington will end up taking the bulk of the reps but to start the season Moncrief’s experience should give him the edge.

On the offensive line, Feiler will compete with Chuks Okorafor for the starting right tackle spot. I’m banking on Feiler’s experience from last season paying off for him.
