Pramac ride “on the table” as Toprak Razgatlioglu eyes switch to MotoGP

Toprak Razgatlioglu and Yamaha are finalising an agreement that would bring the two-time World Superbike champion to MotoGP in 2026.

The deal has been reported by multiple sources - including the rider's own manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, who claims to have already signed a contract that “will make everyone happy and will be announced shortly”.

While the details of the deal remain unknown, indications suggest that Razgatlioglu's move to MotoGP would be with Pramac, Yamaha’s satellite team, which currently has Miguel Oliveira — under contract through 2026 — and Jack Miller, whose deal expires at the end of this season.

This scenario could lead to Miller losing his place, which is the key focus currently delaying the situation, with both Yamaha and Pramac still keen to renew with the Australian rider.

“From the start of the season, Jack has shown great aggression and control on this bike — he likes it, he feels very comfortable with the team, and he’s making the most of the bike, which is great for both Pramac and Yamaha,” explained Gino Borsoi, Pramac team manager, told DAZN. “He’s helping in the bike’s development and doing a fantastic job.”

Miller’s renewal could put Oliveira’s future at risk, despite the Portuguese rider having a contract in place for next season.

Oliveira’s season has been stalled by a serious injury during the Argentine GP when he was hit by Fermin Aldeguer. The incident sidelined him for the Sunday race at Termas and the following three rounds in the US, Qatar, and Spain, before returning in France.

This setback left the Portuguese rider 23rd in the championship standings, with his season compromised.

“Oliveira was very unlucky with the crash and the fracture early in the season. He’s gradually regaining his pace, but MotoGP is not easy — it takes time to get back up to speed,” Borsoi added.

Neither Yamaha nor Pramac is keen on asking a contracted rider to give up his seat, which is why efforts are being made to find a solution for all parties.

“The Toprak issue is on the table,” Borsoi said, when asked directly about Razgatlioglu.

“Obviously Yamaha is very involved in this. We’re talking, but we have contracts with both riders. It's true that Jack's contract expires at the end of the year, but he's doing very well. I think, out of respect for our riders, we should first evaluate his performance and only then make a more concrete decision.”

Toprak’s lucrative sponsorship deal with Red Bull — for whom he is the biggest ambassador in his country — prevent him from joining the Yamaha factory team, which is backed by Monster Energy, a direct competitor of the Austrian brand.
