Positive coronavirus case confirmed at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Contact tracing has been rolled out at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland after a member of the university community has tested positive for coronavirus.

Contact tracing is underway and anyone affected is self-isolating.

A spokesman for the Royal Conservatoire said: "A confirmed COVID-19 has been reported in our community.

"Contact tracing by Public Health Scotland is underway.

"Any students and/or staff affected by this have been contacted or are already self-isolating and will be offered by the RCS Welcome Home team. All students and staff have been informed."

The number of coronavirus cases in Scotland has soared by 558 overnight last night.

Students are banned from pubs and hospitality venues this weekend.
