Popular TV couple predicted to replace Holly and Phil on Dancing on Ice

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby's rumoured "feud" may lead to them being replaced as the Dancing on Ice hosts after he stepped down from This Morning last weekend.

Dancing on Ice has been presented by the once iconic duo from 2006 to 2011 with Christine Lampard stepping in from 2012 to 2014 until Holly returned in 2018, the Mirror reports.

An ITV spokesperson recently confirmed that no decisions had been made about the presenters' future on Dancing on Ice but This Morning's Rochelle Humes and her husband Marvin could be next in line to take Holly and Phillips' places.

The married couple have been presenting BBC's The Hit List together and the Saturdays singer is a regular substitute host with both Rochelle and Marvin hosting the ITV morning programme together previously.

Figures from Gambling.com show that Rochelle is currently 6/5 to host Dancing on Ice while Marvin is 7/1.

Some fans have speculated that Schofield may remain on Dancing on Ice while Holly steps down and remains at This Morning.

Rochelle paid tribute to her former This Morning co-star Phil on Twitter after hearing the news of his departure while many other ITV stars have remained silent on the matter.

She uploaded a series of snaps of them laughing on set-together and messing around during a beauty segment on the show.

In her caption, she wrote: "I've proudly been part of the This Morning family for almost 10 years and over the last few, it has been an absolute pleasure learning so much from you. Thanks for all the lessons - you are a fountain of knowledge and laughter."

Meanwhile an ITV spokesperson has addressed speculation on Phil's future on Dancing on Ice as they told Metro.co.uk: "Dancing On Ice isn’t due on ITV until January 2024 and the series is not currently in production".

They added that "further announcements" about the show including who will be hosting it will be announced in "due course".

In the statement announcing Phil's exit from This Morning, ITV confirmed that their relationship with the broadcaster would continue.

Kevin Lygo, ITV's Managing Director, Media and Entertainment said: “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Phillip starting with The British Soap Awards in June and a brand new peak time series to come.”
