Popular toy sold across Ireland urgently recalled over 'child choking danger'

A popular toy has been urgently recalled over a "child choking hazard".

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission said a safety issue had been identified in the toy car set from Flying Tiger Copenhagen.

A total of 505 units of the product were sold in the Republic of Ireland between November 2019 and April 2020.

A recall notice revealed that the green tow hitch can detach and become a small part that can cause a "choking hazard for children".

The affected item number is 3019330.

A CCPC spokesman said: "If you believe that you may have purchased an affected product then you are advised to stop using it immediately. Customers can return the product to any Flying Tiger Copenhagen store, where a full refund will be provided.

"Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s customer case can also be contacted using their web form."
