A well-known Dublin actress has deleted an Instagram post which shamefully shows a woman posing beside graffiti glorifying the term 'Garda rats out'.
RTE star Roxanna Nic Liam posted the disgraceful picture on her Instagram page on September 13 in a shocking post which has since been deleted.
The role model - who cut her acting teeth at a young age in Irish classics such as Agnes Browne and The General - has featured more prominently on our screens lately as Elmo's girlfriend Lyndsey in Love/Hate and as Erica in the Carrigstown soap Fair City.
And Roxanna channelled her inner Love/Hate character's policing stance when she posted the woman beside the sprayed words on concrete which said 'Garda rats' captioning the post "Sun's Out, Garda Rats Out".
Dublin Live contacted the actress about the shameful post this morning which subsequently led to the star deleting the photo just minutes later.
But the despicable snap, which was up for over a week, has already been seen by well over 1,000 people with hundreds liking the picture while it was live.
A spokeswoman for RTE told Dublin Live: "The post referred to has been removed by the author in line with RTÉ's social media guidelines."
