Popular Dublin restaurant forced to close after staff member tests positive for Covid-19

A south Dublin restaurant has been forced to shut its doors to the public after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

Vermilion Indian Cuisine in Terenure said they have decided to close their doors until January 7 to keep customers and staff safe.

A spokesperson for the restaurant said that they will also be switching to collection only when they reopen.

They said on social media: "Unfortunately a member of our staff has had a positive antigen test. We've decided to close our doors until January 7th to keep our customers safe.

"The safety of our staff and customers remains our priority at this time. Due to ongoing staff shortages and growing cases we've decided to switch to collection only once we reopen.

"We hope to reopen for dine in during the next few weeks but can't determine when at this time. If you have a booking with us in the near future a member of our team will be in touch shortly."
