Monday was supposed to be a day of happiness, relief and more importantly business as usual for The Two Sisters Pub in Terenure.
Handed the accolade of 'Pub of the Year' at the Irish Pub Awards in 2018, the watering hole is popular not just among its locals where its nestled at Wainsfort Drive, but attracts customers from around south Dublin.
June 29 was a day they had been counting down to for months but now they'll remember the end of this month for completely different reasons.
They announced yesterday that everyone's favourite person from the haunt, Andy Birrane had sadly died.
Staff and punters expressed their grief at losing Andy on the same day they could finally get their hands on some grub and Guinness at the iconic pub since March.
Workers even created a poem in honour of Andy titled 'No More'.
It goes: "No more beans. No more lucky 15s. No more 'who's in the kitchen', no more 'cha'mere I want ya'
"No more 'tastes like more', no more 'do you want your glasses cleaned'. No more 'will you ring me a taxi?' No more 'is the heat on?'
"No more Andy-isms, no more Andy."
The pub added: "He's surely going straight to heaven after all those novenas to St. Anthony"
"2020 you have taken a lot from us. Andy Birrane, we won't see your kind again."
Andy will be reposing in the Bar of The Two Sisters on Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm to give everyone in Dublin a chance to pay their respects.
From there he will go down to Kilcommon where he will repose on Wednesday evening followed by mass on Thursday at 12:30pm in Rearcross.
