Pop-up Pokémon store to open in London - but only for four days

The Pokémon Center pop-up store is set to return to London for four days in April with fans able to get their hands on never-seen merchandise.

The shop will be open at the ExCeL from April 4 to April 7, the same dates that the exhibition centre will be hosting the Pokémon Europe International Championships.

But although the shop is a tie-in with the championships, it does allow people to come who are not going to the event.

And fans of the trading card/video game /cuddly toy empire are looking forward to getting their hands on products which have never been on sale before.

A statement from Pokémon added: The store will feature International Championships-exclusive products as well as a curated selection of products from Pokémon Center UK.

“Keep an eye on Pokémon social media for a sneak peek over the next few weeks!”

Pokémon has been winning fans for three decades and shows no sign of letting up, with the latest release being Detective Pikachu, the game which came out last October. Prior to this was the scarlet and violet expansion, while last summer Pokémon GO released a function to help track the sleep of users.

The pop-up will be open from 10am to 8pm - apart from on Sunday, April 7, when it will close at 4pm. It does not accept cash.

While it is open to the general public and non-ticket holders you will, however, still need to make a booking to attend.

“Entry to the store requires a reservation, even for badged attendees,” the statement added.

“Additional details on how to make a reservation for Pokémon Center will be announced closer to the event.”
