Adele is reportedly in talks to headline the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, a decade after turning it down.

The 37-year-old singer has not been ‘officially booked’ yet, but is reportedly booking the iconic show which will take place in Santa Clara, California, next February, Page Six has reported.

Adele previously turned down the show in 2016 when she was offered the 2017 stage, telling the Los Angeles crowd: “First of all, I'm not doing the Super Bowl… I mean, that show is not about music.

“I can't dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.”

The 16-time Grammy award winner previously attended the Super Bowl as a fan with her Fiance Rich Paul, who works as one of the biggest agents in sports.

In 2024, she said: “Last year I went, obviously I didn't go for the football at all. I went to watch Rihanna.”

Other stars being considered for the gig are Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

This news comes after rumours that Adele has signed a multi-million pound book deal, having said no to publishers for years.

The book is expected to detail her rise to fame, alongside her personal life from childhood to attending BRIT school and becoming a mum.

It is also rumoured that Adele is in discussions about a live tour, and possible new music.

A source told The Sun: “Publishers have been desperate to sign Adele to tell her story but she's always said no,”

“Finally she is ready and it will be Adele in her own words - beyond the headlines.

“As well as taking in her rise to fame in music, it will touch on her upbringing and her personal life.”

The Skyfall singer has been making significant profits over the past few years. Her £170M fortune has been substantially improved by various companies under her name.

According to The Mirror, Adele's Melted Stone Publishing Ltd pulled in £13.5M cas, Melted Stone Ltd made £6M and A.Adkins Touring Ltd recorded £42K.

Her Las Vegas residency ended in 2024 after two years. Each show reportedly made around $1.75 million, making it one of the most profitable residencies in history.

The star also broke two world records with her Munich shows. Over 730,000 fans came to see her perform over ten days. Selling out the tour meant that Adele registered the highest attendance of any concert residency outside Las Vegas.

Adele secured another record for the impressive staging at her Munich shows: using “the largest continuous outdoor LED screen.”
