Poodle 'identified' as Keane star on The Masked Singer by fans after Christmas clue

Poodle is singer Tom Chaplin, according to fans of ITV's The Masked Singer UK 2022.

In the latest episode of series three, Poodle dropped a series of new clues and hints about their true identity.

These included lots of Christmas themes, a possible number one at Christmas, and painting products.

The vocals were also pretty distinctive, with it clear this person was a singer.

Fans began to speculate who was under the mask, with many convinced they had solved the case within minutes.

Taking to Twitter, fans agreed that it was singer and Keane band member Tom Chaplin behind the mask.

One fan said: "Tom Chaplin from Keane made a solo Xmas album. Definitely Poodle."

Another tweeted: "All these Christmas Clues Definitely hinting towards Twelve Tales of Christmas TOM CHAPLIN."

A third added: "Tom from Keane is poodle," as a fourth wrote: "Poodle has to be Tom Chaplin of Keane!"

Poodle performed as one of eight contestants competing to stay on the show, ahead of the next elimination.

Last week, Pat Cash became the fourth celebrity to be unmasked as it was revealed he was Bagpipes on the show.

Panellist Jonathan Ross was convinced it was fellow tennis player John McEnroe behind the mask, and was stunned to find out he was wrong.

Will Young was third to be unveiled a week earlier, after fans correctly worked out he was Lionfish on the ITV series.

This followed the first two eliminations of the series earlier in the month, with Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford being unmasked as Snow Leopard in episode two, and singer Heather Small revealed to be Chandelier in the very first episode.

On Saturday nigh’s show, it was Panda, Poodle, Firework, Mushroom, Doughnuts, Traffic Cone, Rockhopper and Robobunny taking to the stage.

As ever, Jonathan and his fellow panellists Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall took it in turns to predict who was under the masks, as host Joel Dommett also tried to work it all out.

The Masked Singer UK airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
